Job Summary:

The Data Governance Associate Vice President (AVP) will support the Chief Data and Finance Operations (CDFO) team in managing the data governance framework and ensuring compliance with data policies and standards. The AVP will coordinate the audit schedule, control testing, key committee preparation, and support business as usual (BAU) activities. The AVP will also support the management of activities related to Data Officer Engagement, Data Management Policy Updates, Data Management Procedure Updates, and Data Control Tower activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the schedule and responses for audits of CDFO teams, monitor Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) control testing, support key committee meeting execution, and support BAU activities related to data governance.

  • Support the management of activities related to Data Officer Engagement, Data Management Policy Updates, Data Management Procedure Updates, and Data Control Tower activities.

  • Monitor compliance with data policies and standards across the organization.

  • Monitor and report on data quality issues and remediation actions.

  • Facilitate data governance forums and working groups.

  • Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, data consumers, and other stakeholders to promote data governance awareness and culture.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the data governance framework and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, information management, business administration, or related fields.

  • At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, methodologies, and tools.

  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating data governance activities and forums.

  • Experience in working with data policies, standards, procedures, and controls.

  • Experience in working with data quality metrics, dashboards, and reports.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $106K - $122K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
