Your impact at MUFG
To develop a deep understanding of the risks in MBE’s Corporate Finance portfolios, add value to support the delivery of profitable growth within MBE’s risk appetite and contribute to an effective control environment. This, in turn, ensures the integrity of the overall credit portfolio and provides support to MBE’s regulatory requirements.
The role includes the following:
Objectively assess Corporate Finance credit proposals, identifying risk issues to reach a reasoned conclusion leading to recommendations for Senior Management approval
Keep up to date on relevant markets and sectors, and monitor the portfolio to anticipate problems. As directed by the Head of Credit, Take necessary early pro-active steps to minimize potential losses
Establish and maintain close communication with the Business Line and other stakeholders
Liaise with the relevant MUFG credit divisions in order to complete summary analysis, to support transaction assessment and ongoing risk monitoring
Support Head of Credit in the development of any Risk Appetite Framework or policy
Active contribution in discussions with the business relating to any relevant developments and potential client needs on a more strategic level relating to relevant products
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Skills and experience:
Bachelor Degree
Minimum 2 years of work experience in the financial services industry and sound understanding of regulatory requirements related to the credit sanctioning and monitoring process
Ability to produce concise written credit evaluations is essential – to identify and prioritize the key issues
Strong interpersonal skills – the role demands close liaison with other credit divisions, front offices and senior management; pro-actively develop and maintain such relationships.
Strong networking and influencing skills
Verbal and written communication skills in English is essential (Japanese and Dutch language is an asset)
High level of personal independence – ability to use own initiative and work unaided
Complex problem solving skills
Desire for self-development. Increase own knowledge through keeping abreast of news-flow, market developments and credit trends that may be relevant to the companies, countries and sectors covered

The role is based in the Netherlands. All candidates need to be willing to relocate to the Netherlands. Internal employees will be supported in case of relocation.
