We are currently recruiting for a Data Analytics Officer for our Data Management Office in Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG
Reporting to the Head of Data Management, you will support the data management by seeking effective business solutions to the delivery of new regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives through both automated and non-automated components of existing regulatory reporting processes within the bank.
You will assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives and the identification and resolution of underlying issues arising from those investigations. You will be able to translate business requirements into actionable solutions to enable IT colleagues deliver outcomes that meet the business stakeholder needs.
In addition, you will also proactively identify potential benefits and available options for consideration and work with business users in designing acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems or business processes.
You will also document and maintain the traceability of requirements through to deliverables on any project, with the aim of ensuring the final delivery meets the business’ requirements.
The role includes the following:
The Data Analytics Officer role contributes to and drives forward a number of key initiatives including data and reporting requirements.
Power BI Report development
Analyse data and display it in reports to aid decision-making
Use SQL queries to get the best results
For a better understanding of the data, use filters and visualizations
Determine business needs and translate into technical specifications and establish a timetable for job completion
Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for business intelligence
Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards
Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with client and internal teams
Work with the business intelligence team to gather requirements for the database design and model
Understand the data needs of the company and internal customers
Collaborate with the development team to design and build the database model
Adjust access to the data and the reports as needed
Work closely with the development team to implement data warehouse and reporting
Familiarity with report migration as part of newly implemented data strategies
Ensure all relevant information is available to guide the design of data and reporting solutions
Using the data collated from the analysis stage, make informed decisions to influence the direction and shape of solutions put in place
Assist and undertake initiate root cause for data quality issues and in-dept understanding of the data life cycle management
Understanding of key data elements and application
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Skills and experience
Proficiencies in Power BI development: dashboard creation (visualization) and backend (DAX)
Thorough understanding of optimal data modeling and visualization, working with cloud databases
Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics
Knowledge of Power BI application security layer models and row-level data security
Proficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set
Knowledge of relational databases including SQL and where to implement logic (DAX vs SQL)
Familiarity with or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or data modeling
Knowledge of entity relationship diagrams and Kimball modeling
Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience of training end users on how to use reports
Technical Knowledge
Advance Power BI experience required
Familiarity with Informatica systems
Advance ability to read and write SQL code
Competent use of business analysis techniques
Large data experience would be beneficial
Systems architecture experience would be beneficial

Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
