We are currently recruiting for a Senior Data Governance Officer for our Data Management Office in Amsterdam .

The MBE subsidiary based in the Netherlands is a network of branches (Germany Branch (Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Spain Branch (Madrid, Barcelona), Belgium Branch (Brussels), Austria Branch (Vienna)), managed from Amsterdam.
Your impact at MUFG
As a key member of Data Governance Team within the Data Management Office, the role focuses on two areas, leveraging close collaboration with business data stewards and data custodians through the key data working group, and senior management through the data management committee.
- Key Data Management
Design and implement enhancements to the framework for capturing Key Data Elements (KDEs): document data flows and assess DQ controls for key business outputs – regulatory reports, risk reports, key management information:
Lead the enhancement of key data / metadata management tooling for MBE
Coordinate data mapping initiatives including the documentation of data flows, identification of KDEs and registration of Golden Source systems
- General Data Governance
Embedding the data governance framework across MBE’s functions and locations through:
Coordination of the data steward & data custodian communities across MBE providing training, raising awareness and delivering monthly working groups on key data management
Interface with the data quality team through the assessment and build-out of data quality controls
Interface with risk management and business teams to identify and assess data quality risks
Contribute towards data management policy and procedure updates and global alignment
The Senior Data Governance Officer reports to the Head of Data Governance.
The role includes the following:
Enhance and implement framework for key data management: capture Key Data Elements (KDEs), document data flows and assess data quality controls for key business outputs
Lead the implementation of key data and metadata management tooling for MBE
Coordinate key data management and data-mapping initiatives, including the documentation of data flows, identification of KDEs and registration of authoritative source systems
Ensure data policies are adhered to within change programmes across the region
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Experience working with and implementing Collibra and/or other data governance and metadata management tooling
Experience within a bank’s data management / governance functions
Understanding of data governance regulations and best practice
Experience of supporting governance committees and working groups
Experience with data governance tools like Informatica Axon and IDQ

Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
