to be part of one of the top 5 largest banks in the world, during an 8 week summer programme where you’ll get a unique opportunity to get insights and hand’s on experience across the Global Corporate and Investment Banking and Supply Chain Finance at our European Headquarters based in Amsterdam.
The Programme will consist of:
Four week’s rotation across Global Corporate and Investment Banking and Supply Chain Finance
Business effectiveness skills workshops
Business speaker sessions & senior leaders
On the job learning & projects
Allocated line manager & junior buddy
Global Corporate and Investment Banking
Global Corporate and Investment Banking Division manages the GCIB clients in The Netherlands (Dutch Multi-National Corporates), including foreign blue-chip companies with local / regional offices in The Netherlands. This section supports MUFG and its strategy to become a core bank to Investment Grade and Non-Investment Grade Corporate Clients in Europe by increasing the customer base and developing ancillary business, enhancing net operating profit and return.
Credit analysis on GCIB clients is conducted with the help of dedicated Credit Analysis Department. GCIB Amsterdam defines the strategy (in consultation and in line with GCIB London) and selects the prospect names which fit the onboarding criteria of GCIB. The profit target is determined in joint cooperation with the planning department and Head of Corporate Banking GCIB EMEA.
Supply Chain Finance
Supply Chain Finance (SCF) is a multi-billion, fast growing and very dynamic and international product. A dedicated team of professionals within the bank are supporting Industrial Buyers and Suppliers to improve their Working Capital.
The SCF team is part of the Front Office of the bank, ie dealing directly with clients, while at the same ensuring to get the right support from Middle- and Back office. The MBE SCF team works closely together with MUFG teams in London and New York. External stakeholders are Investor banks as well as Financial Tech companies.
Background
MUFG acquired the Trade Payable Services platform (“TPS”) in 2019 from the General Electric company (GE). TPS is focused on developing value-added solutions and offering our clients the reliability of an in-house platform. The TPS platform and the subject matter experts that MUFG acquired along with the technology have been supporting many GE businesses for nearly 25 years, managing over $400Bn of program volume since inception and utilizing MUFG’s Distribution Desk along the way. MUFG’s global distribution capabilities and strong relationships with diverse Investors allow us to employ our Origination & Distribution strategy to grow with our clients.
Who are we looking for:
3rd or 4th year Bachelor or enrolled in a master degree student
Interested in Banking Sector
Fluently in English, both verbal and in writing is a must
Full time available between July and September
