Supporting and administrating multiple (Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL) database platforms including installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 through 2016 and Oracle databases versions 10 through 12c. Supporting and administrating multiple database platforms. Utilizing database utilities and tools for database monitoring including Oracle Enterprise Manager with Oracle on Unix (AIX) and Linux (RHEL), Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Partitioning Option, Oracle Data Pump and Oracle Recovery Manager). Utilizing QL Server including Always-ON Availability Groups, Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication and Windows PowerShell scripts, SQL Server Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services. Performing application development support activities including database design, optimizing SQL queries, building complex SQLs, concurrency planning, data refreshing and database objects migration across regions. Developing/creating/documenting shell scripts on Unix (AIX) and Linux (RHEL). Using Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) and Oracle Data Guard to implement high availability and disaster recovery capabilities. Using Oracle Partitioning, Data Pump and RMAN (Recovery Manager) to perform data manipulation. Using SQL Server through 2016, SQL Server Always-ON Availability Groups, Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication to implement high availability and disaster recovery capabilities. Developing/creating/documenting Windows PowerShell scripts. Performing SQL Server Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services installation and configuration. Designing and configuring large-scale database solutions in sizes of 1TB. Supporting infrastructure planned maintenance and outages. Applying patches, hot fixes and other security hotfixes as requested by MUFG’s Risk and Compliance Office. Performing application development support activities including database design, optimizing SQL queries, building complex SQLs, concurrency planning, data refreshing and database objects migration across regions. Provisioning and supporting databases on EC2 and RDS cloud environments, Amazon Web Services (CloudWatch, KMS, Lambda, S3, Aurora, Schema Conversion Tool & Database Migration Services) and AWS snapshot technology used for backup, recovery and disaster recovery of AWS databases in production and non-production environments.

Qualifications – External

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 5 years of experience supporting and administrating multiple database platforms including installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 through 2016 and Oracle databases versions 10 through 12c; database utilities and tools for database monitoring including Oracle Enterprise Manager with Oracle on Unix (AIX) and Linux (RHEL), Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Partitioning Option, Oracle Data Pump and Oracle Recovery Manager); and 3 years of experience must include QL Server including Always-ON Availability Groups, Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication and Windows PowerShell scripts, SQL Server Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services; and 1 year of experience must include performing application development support activities including database design, optimizing SQL queries, building complex SQLs, concurrency planning, data refreshing and database objects migration across regions.

Other: Required to work nights & weekends & be on-call during non-business hours for technical support & maintenance purposes.
