User Experience Touchpoint Capability Leader, Director

Job Summary

Part of the Digital Enablement team; responsible for delivery of squads in the User Experience Touchpoint Capability to meet business and technical OKRs tied to capability funding and performance. Acts as the “CEO” of the capability to design squads for maximum capacity and removes obstacles to delivery that the squads encounter in the organization.

With the Capability Architect, initially designs and defines the capability as well as providing ongoing capability strategy and roadmap, aligned with overall Capabilities landscape and prioritized initiatives

Major Responsibilities

  • Works across the organization with stakeholders to include the enterprise priorities across MUFG Americas and align several digital and non-digital work-streams that impact the Capability roadmap

  • Reviews upcoming or requested RAID initiatives if it has impact on Capability or how Capability can service the initiative

  • Reviews backlogs and is accountable for the delivery of product increments

  • Escalation point for prioritization

  • Accountable for the technical incubation of future state technology stack

  • Representing Capability on Cross Team Dependencies together with Lead Engineer / Tech Lead

  • CEO of the Capability

  • User Touchpionts Capability covers User Sate Virtualization, delivery Channel Management, Kiosk, Mobil Apps, Embedded Systems, Customer Communications, Voice/Chat, and Contact Center Technology.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands on and leadership experience in mobile, responsive technologies such as native, react-native, react, angular

  • Understanding of native capabilities and design thinking

  • Implementation of API based applications with use of cache, OAuth, serverless, javascript based applications

  • Deep experience with apple and google release and nonfunctional requirements

  • Working knowledge of mobile app web based application tools such as SeeTest, MobileLab etc.

  • Experience with cloud deployment specifically in AWS and data technologies required.

  • Must love open source and bring engineering mindset in culture

  • Sr. Leader familiar with Customer behaviors & Preferences

  • Knowledge of industry standard agile practices such as SAFE is must

  • Experienced leader; with a proven track record facilitating change

  • Prior experience in financial industry and understanding of Retail and Commercial Banking is desirable

  • Strong communication, presentation and execution skills

  • High level understanding of core engineering principles including knowledge of DevOps, Cloud, API based delivery is required
