Job Summary:

In this role you will focus on coordinating and supporting strategic initiatives, including expense management, planning/annual appropriations, third-party vendor spend management, resource planning & reporting, workforce strategy, space planning, service catalog strategy and execution, and responses to senior management/board/regulatory presentations for a team or multiple teams.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support consultative relationships with key business stakeholders, proactively identifying and addressing BI needs to meet business needs, along with regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Perform data preparation work (e.g., source, scrub, mine, and integrate relevant data sources) needed for the delivery of BI and data visualization solutions

  • Support proof of concept projects to test and adopt emerging BI and/or advanced data visualization tools

  • Support the delivery of BI reporting and dashboards as directed

  • Provide support to define, design, implement, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational efficiency

  • Assist with converting ideas and business needs into meaningful report/dashboard designs and data requirements

  • Support the partnership with business stakeholders to streamline and automate existing reporting, crucial for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Support the development of a change management process that facilitates the ability for business leaders to propose and debate new metrics or metric modifications per business needs

  • Support the development of a standard process on defining data requirements, managing governance, and creating BI reports and dashboards for use throughout the organization

  • Assist with identifying new approaches to complex design problems related to BI and advanced data visualization

Qualifications

  • A degree in mathematics / computer science / statistics / economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5-6 years experience with data analysis, data automation and reporting dashboards

  • Preferred experience: previous work at a financial services firm or within a Technology or Operations division within a firm

  • Knowledge of computer software, including relevant applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Tableau, and data automation applications.

  • Technology infrastructure or application development experience

  • Experience influencing non-technical aspects of technology change (e.g. business and operational architectures)

  • Proven track record working with technical, customer, and functional teams
