Internal Audit for the Americas acts in the third line of defense, independently assessing first and second line management’s effectiveness in identifying, measuring, monitoring and controlling the risks of the Bank. The Vice President, Audit Manager will be responsible for auditing our Corporate Banking business divisions in the United States and Canada. Additionally you will audit other business divisions in the Americas (e.g. Mexico and Brazil). This position reports to an Audit Director within Internal Audit for the Americas.
LOCATION: New York City or Los Angeles
You require a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Internal Audit experience, including experience with large complex financial institutions
You demonstrate strong product knowledge and Corporate Banking experience (e.g. loan lifecycle, and associated operational processes or information technology controls)
You understand relevant OCC and FRB foreign banking organization regulatory requirements
You show strong knowledge of financial products and services
You lead and execute the full life cycle of an audit from planning to audit close
You possess critical thinking, analytical, nd project management skills
You interact and communicate effectively with senior leadership, regulators, and staff at all levels
You perform risk assessments and analyze risk trends at a macro level, identifying signs of changing risk levels and/or symptoms of process control breakdowns
You identify and understand controls in changing environments
You possess strong oral and written communication including the ability to write clear, concise, non-technical and persuasive risk evaluation reports
Up to 20% travel
