The VP, Program Change Management is a role reporting to the Director, Global Audit Operational Strategy. This position is responsible for supporting the global program management office to achieve the departmental strategic vision. The role partners with senior leaders to ensure effective implementation of the global audit transformation through a change management program. In addition, the role is accountable for influencing change management for critical projects, embedding change and team effectiveness processes, and building capability within the division.
Travel may be required for the position, with an estimated range of 10-40% varying on the location of the incumbent, key staff and partners (throughout Americas, regions, as required).
Conduct analysis/change impacts that addresses operational effectiveness and provide solutions that add value, meet regulatory expectations, and facilitate ongoing development of auditors.
Help develop roadmap to implement changes needed by prioritizing enhancements to people, process and technology. The roadmap could include tactical steps to address more critical items until such time as the strategic solution can be implemented.
Build change management capability through coordinating across and driving synergies/efficiencies across Practices (e.g., annual planning, audit methodology and execution, ongoing monitoring, additional audit activities, and plan management; self-assessment framework; methodology training program; driving audit management and stakeholder reporting strategies; and technology solutions and strategy).
Partner with departmental authorities to identify and prioritize more efficient execution models while maintaining/improving quality and coordinate across Practices to ensure seamless delivery (e.g., GRC tool, automation, impact on methodology, procedures, training, templates and tools)
Foresees, identifies and resolves problems; manages relationships to ensure project deliverables; monitors results on an ongoing basis against pre-determined metrics. (e.g., effectively structure and execute on objectives and initiatives across both divisions, effectively team with and run dependencies across multiple groups and regions, lead and develop change management strategies and programs across the division, demonstrable leadership and management over the strategy and execution of projects and deliverables, budget and deliverables at a high quality and demonstrable professional skepticism and personal accountability)
Track, monitor and report on change programs progress. Raise proactively any concerns and develop/recommend solutions that enable the program to timely and with quality consistently meet program objectives despite any challenges that arise.
Education and Certifications:
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related business discipline at an accredited college or university.
Advanced degree preferred.
Skills and Experience
10 or more years of experience with the financial services industry, related markets, and related regulatory agencies
Project Management Professional (PMP) is required
Possesses strong project management skills; exhibits initiative and intuitive thinking; and demonstrates ability to meet strict deadlines.
Exhibits effective communication (both verbal and written), negotiation and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills; and ability to engage with all levels of internal audit and business line management.
Employs strong critical thinking skills to identify pragmatic recommendations within an evolving and increasingly complex regulatory and risk management environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in technology as required for assigned areas (MS Office, audit data analytics, etc.).
Proven track record in operations and center of excellence and coordination efforts across multiple groups, preferably within global internal functions.
