This position is responsible for supporting and promoting MUFG Bank, Ltd. in the Americas by conceptualizing and implementing high-impact communications strategies and tactics that are consistent with our overarching business objectives. The core area of support for this role is internal communications. The successful candidate must have proven experience across the broad spectrum of corporate communications to help drive content creation and distribution through a range of channels.

For this opportunity, MUFG places a high premium on exceptional interviewing, writing, and editing skills that are on par with those of a seasoned journalist. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and have a proven track record of serving as a trusted communications advisor to senior-level executives and colleagues across the company. We are seeking someone who will exercise keen judgment and make well-reasoned recommendations. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to see assignments through with minimal oversight, and an eye for detail are also imperative.

This position requires an experienced communications professional with strong business and financial acumen and experience building relationships across teams. The successful candidate will have solid background in generating various communications (i.e., conducting interviews, draft stories for the company intranet, leadership messages, talking points, Q&A documents, speeches/remarks, biographies, video scripts, etc.). Experience with the Jive platform is a plus (Jive Hosted v9.5 or v9.9).

The Corporate Communications team’s operating model is collaborative and supportive; however, the expectation at the Vice President level is for the incumbent to quickly establish routines and proactively build critical cross-functional relationships throughout the organization, in addition to representing MUFG with absolute integrity. The ideal candidate must seamlessly integrate into a driven, high-performing communications team in order to achieve maximum effectiveness and have a passion for producing compelling content.

The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
