Job Summary:

MUFG is in search of an HR Generalist who is skilled at applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization and its transformation efforts. This candidate will provide guidance and support of recruiting, terminations, performance management, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between HR and senior management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leveraging HR principles, tools and practices to support business strategy

  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience

  • Develop strong relationships with all Centers of Excellence (CoE’s) as well as HR peers across the region and globally to deliver on HR Business Partner needs

  • Act as a liaison between managers and employees by connecting them to appropriate HR CoEs. Provide a bridge to the CoE and assist where necessary to ensure task completion.

  • Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns

  • Provide management with guidance on employee issues

  • Analyzes staffing logistics and organizes documentation

  • Prepare termination and severance reporting

  • Provide support to HR team members

  • Work on projects and initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in financial services

  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures

  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and database management and record keeping

  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Workday a plus

  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes

  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
