Job Summary

In this role you will apply your developing expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis. You will continue to hone your skills through assignments of increasing complexity, contributing to analyses, projects, business relationships, and issue resolution.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimum performance, high availability, and stability of solutions

  • Works with cross-functional team, writes, debugs, and delivers code

  • Ensures on-time delivery of owned features from design and implementation through production troubleshooting


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Administering Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian plug-ins

  • 2 years of programming experience in a modern language such as Scala, Java, Python, C#, Groovy

  • 2 years of experience with web technologies: Restful Services, JavaScript

  • Experience managing Jira creating workflows, schemes, etc.

  • Experience with API integrations to/from Atlassian products

  • Strong troubleshooting skills on tooling and server-side issues

  • Familiarity with Windows & Unix/Linux administration

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Atlassian plug-ins

  • Experience customizing and configuring Jira

  • Determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows

  • JIRA & Confluence plugin development

  • Create and maintain documentation for installation, maintenance, and training

  • Develop and support process for users requesting new projects, workflows, etc. within JIRA

  • Support backup and recovery strategies for Atlassian products

  • Drive projects for periodic upgrades, patching and fixes

  • Experience with Python, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or any cloud provider

  • Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and databases

  • Strong experience with server side programming, language agnostic

  • Experience working with open source frameworks

  • Experience with scripting and working in a UNIX environment

  • Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis, and tuning

  • Experience with Core Java

  • Experience with data structures

  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C , or C# including object-oriented design

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable in more than one programming language, with a firm grasp of fundamental web/internet technologies

  • Strong sense of collaboration, ownership, urgency, and drive
