Job Summary

Capability leader for our Master Data Management. Define Bank’s Master Data Management strategy and execute the program road map to manage the full data lifecycle of master data at MUFG in support of key business objectives. Define, implement, and manage the reference architecture, data integration/consumption framework for the MDM tool, and enable best practices and use of the MDM solution. Partner with data providers across organizations to drive automation of data feeds including event driven systems and micro services and API orchestration. Ensure MDM services meet customer needs across all major use cases and constituencies.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing leadership to a team that will provide a comprehensive set of MDM capability and data services through the Enterprise Data Platform.

  • Responsible for leading Data Profiling, Data Mapping, Data Curation, Match/Merge/Search Services, Master Data Business Process Automation, and Data APIs

  • Actively ensure continuous evolution in the quality and performance of the services provided by the MDM function through the consistent application of continuous improvement techniques.

  • Responsible for directly supervising staff, including hiring and managing staff, conducting performance reviews, and planning/estimations, vendor management and contracts.

  • Closely partner with senior leaders from business units to prioritize project portfolio and business cases for digital and technology investments and resolve prioritization conflicts with senior leaders as needed.

  • Develop and foster a sense of community by instilling a culture that promotes a work environment where diverse opinions, thinking, and perspectives are respected.

  • Provide technical/functional expertise enterprise, exhibit a high level of business knowledge and understanding of the external marketplace and anticipates requirements.

  • Present business issues across the enterprise and contribute to an open communication environment to ensure the knowledge and expertise of all impacted divisions in the enterprise. Anticipate and manage change that has a substantial impact on the enterprise; prepares enterprise for change.

  • Assesses the impact of Data Change requests to the data structure and applicable business processes and prepares recommendations for MDM Governance review. Conducts regular consultations with other Data Stewards, the business users and Information Services to understand data issues and identify optimization opportunities Coordinates with Customer Onboarding/ Data Maintenance personnel to ensure the approved data improvements are implemented

  • Motivate direct and indirect reports and deliver results for enterprise. Defines KPIs to ensure data create/change SLAs are being met

Qualifications: (Do not copy)

  • 10 years direct work experience in enterprise data projects, with at least 4 years of direct experience with at least one leading MDM tool suite

  • Experience in multi-domain MDM initiatives implementation across various phases of SDLC from building the roadmap, to implementing, developing and support.

  • Subject Matter Expertise across key master data domains specifically with Customer and Product Data.

  • Demonstrated change agility to successfully manage a high degree of complexity and multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures and to connect and engage with colleagues at all levels of the organization

  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, coordination, documentation, analytical, problem solving, leadership, and time management skills.

Qualifications

  • 10 years direct work experience in enterprise data projects, with at least 4 years of direct experience with at least one leading MDM tool suite

Technical Qualifications:

  • 4 years of MDM full cycle Implementation using one or more of MDM tools such as Infomatica MDM TIBCO MDM, Reltio, etc.

  • 3 years of Experience in designing and architecting integrations between MDM and other systems using standard connectors, APIs, publish-subscribe, and other mechanisms.

  • 4 years of experience with Cleansing and Match and Merge

  • 8 years of Data Integration using ETL tools 5 years in working with and influencing senior leaders (Senior Directors and above) and leading governance

  • 3 years of Workflow management experience forums. 1

  • 0 years of expertise in relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, SqlServer

  • 5 years of experience in Metadata Management and Data Governance

  • 3 years of AWS cloud based architecture and solutions required

  • 3 years of experience with Micro services and scalable object-oriented RESTFUL web services
