This position supports the Core Banking Transformation (CBT) Program . CBT is a multi-year effort to modernize our deposits platform with a world-class digitally-led and simplified ecosystem for consumer, small business, commercial and transaction banking to deliver exceptional customer experience and provide the bank a competitive advantage in the market. Our customers will benefit from streamlined and automated processes that simultaneously will provide the bank business process efficiencies and operational cost savings.
We are looking for an energetic and forward-thinking, seasoned product manager with experience in digital transformation, capable of balancing emergent needs with do-or-die critical services. You must love to be a mentor, a change agent, while also being hands on. With a keen eye on the product’s “market”—internal or external—the product manager has an intuitive feel for the direction of the product, setting the vision, roadmap and delivery milestones.
You will lead growing squads of passionate developers to showcase what it means to build, iterate and deliver delightful experiences for our clients. You will define best in class product management practices necessary to succeed and serve as a beacon of expertise across the organization.
A key member of the development team, the product manager represents the voice of the customer, prioritizing effort against the most important goals while weighing sometimes contradictory concerns from an array of customers. You push for process change, challenge the status quo and collaborate across the organization on a wide range of topics. In this highly critical and visible role, you will apply your product management experience to successfully lead large, dynamic, and complex digital transformation efforts.
Cover the full lifecycle from vision, strategy through roadmap, incubating and defining requirements, collaborate on solving complex technical problems and help with delivery to achieve business goals
Prioritize product development activities, presenting trade-offs to stakeholders and customers as necessary to provide clarity of direction
Build and maintain deep relationships with customers, representing their interests throughout the product life cycle
Provide strategy, direction, coaching and mentoring, for a product first mindset across the organization while maintaining consistency of vision
Stay abreast of the market and industry trends, continuously identifying necessary adjustments to the vision and strategy to stay ahead
Ensure stakeholders are well informed of product development progression
Own the goal - drive product development by achieving what’s necessary to reach the desired outcome, overcoming issues as they arise, while building the future state technology stack
Perform user acceptance testing, demos and roadshows of sprint, release milestones and overall product and technology roadmaps
Actively lead, promote, and manage change; this position is an individual contributor role with no direct reports
Partner with business, program management, architecture, system owners, 3rd party vendors, testing and other teams as necessary to ensure successful delivery

Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
8 years managing digital product(s) in a high integrity, and/or regulated environment (government, healthcare, financial sectors preferred)
Independently and successfully managed at least three large scale, technically complex, multi-customer products, from start to end (i.e. covering all life cycle phases) and have been involved with continuous improvement
Experience integrating new technology and platforms with mission critical legacy systems
Have a consulting mindset, with critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to apply theoretical concepts and best practices to solve customer experience, process and methodology problems
Experience with modern agile product development methodologies and transforming to them
Mastery of product and road mapping tools such as JIRA or similar agile tools
Able to transcend from vision to strategy, roadmap definition, into story writing and technical solutioning
Can clearly and concisely synthesize/communicate complex requirements, and/or organizational problems and propose solutions while working through complicated, matrixed decision paths.
Have a strong technical understanding to collaborate with Software Engineers on systems integrations, while bringing in your product mindset and customer obsession to validate Engineering decisions. You have heard of frameworks like React, Vue or Angular, know micro services and can articulate technical problems well to non-technical colleagues and stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate effectively with UX Designers, Developers, Enterprise Architects and Designers
Fortitude to tell customers “no” when necessary, particularly regarding prioritization of effort
Client satisfaction focused with ability to balance the financial, strategic, operation etc. implications of decisioning
Ability to stitch best of breed tools and practices together to solve business problems, embracing the security (confidentiality, integrity, availability) and complexity challenges that may arise
Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to find the correct path given limited guidance
Able to travel out of state
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Experience within a high integrity, and/or regulated environment (government, healthcare, financial sectors, etc)
Ability to travel internationally
