Manage RTP Operations
Assist with Strategic Initiatives
This leader will leverage their Payment Operations experience to support the Director, Strategic Initiatives in building the Real Time Payments (RTP) Operations department. This VP will work closely Product, the Project Team and other related functions on a to enhance procedures and documentation, support the expansion of the RTP Product for the Bank and lead the Operations processes and responsibilities for the new Payment type. This VP may assist with initiatives supporting Payment as applicable.
Engaging with cross functional partners to drive development of new Operations unit
Day to day Management of Real Time Payments Operations
Developing and implementing operating policies and procedures across functions such as: payment support, exception handling, quality control standards, Investigations, RTP gateway management, reporting.
Developing, implementing and monitoring quality service standards and delivery times with clients and support units.
Ensuring target productivity levels, departmental goals, and service level standards are achieved and maintained
Overseeing, monitoring, revising and implementing policy and procedural changes that affect functional areas of responsibilities
May communicate with customers to resolve customer concerns
Effectively liaise with internal business partners
Managing and maintaining qualified staff by selecting, training, counseling, evaluating, rewarding, and recommending promotion of subordinates
Liaise with Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance as needed.
Responsible for the direction and training of subordinate supervisors. Allocate and coordinate resources and handle personnel related issues within parameters of division policy.
In conjunction with more senior management, develops, recommends and executes business plans for area of responsibility.
Keeps abreast of new technologies and applications and their implications for assigned area.
Has overall responsibility for a department or function within the Operations function, including the design of relevant processes and concrete action plans.
Responsible for managing team performance and has a high degree of autonomy in making operational decisions.
Seasoned manager with extensive payments knowledge and expertise. Role is balanced between day-to-day high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction of the relevant Infrastructure area.
Familiarity with Real Time Payments is an asset.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experienced in managing financial services Payment Operations and related control and risk management concepts.
Knowledge of Wires, ACH, Item Processing, Exchange of Money Transfers experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of financial services industry operation practices Strong clearly demonstrated leadership skills Ability to prepare, track and report budgets Education, Licensure, Experience: 6-8 Years of Management experience required College degree with 7 years of related on the job experience preferred Moderate experience in employee development processes
