Senior Software Engineer
This engineer partners with geographically distributed stakeholders across a variety of businesses and functions. Experience in various Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and having a solid understanding of SQL and Java programming is a must
As a part of AML Compliance Technology, the Assistant Vice President of Software Engineering supports multiple business lines through implementation and enhancement of various AML Compliance Systems such as KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and Sanctions Screening.
This individual works closely with business analysts, developers and modelers to understand requirements and create Functional Design Documents (FRDs), Detailed Design Documents (DRDs), Data Sourcing Documents (DSDs), and Unit Test Plans (UTPs).
Most importantly, the Sr Software Engineer develops necessary technical components (code development) in high-level languages such as Java and Python to implement technical solutions. The Sr Software Engineer is expected to interact heavily with various enterprise groups including but not limited to Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Information Security Group, and Infrastructure Team.
Involve in handling production issues that are escalated to development team. We expect the Sr Software Engineer is a seasoned professional who can mentor and provide guidance to associates and interns.
- Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions
- Designs and develops applications, system to system interfaces and complete software solutions, and creates documentation such as user guides and software development guides
- Significant advanced code development and code review
Bachelor's degree Or MS in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
Minimum 5-6 years of software development experience
5 years of programming experience in a J2EE (Java)
5 years of experience the Object Relational Mapping Tool Hibernate, strong in using XML mappings and Java Objects
Experience with Struts, Spring IO, Microservices, Spring Boot Components.
Experience in writing PL/SQL complex Queries, Stored Procedures, functions, Triggers, Views
Experience in Build scripts by using Maven, Ant, Jenkins, JUnit testing framework and Log4j for logging.
Experience in using Version controls like GitHub, CVS, etc.
Prefered prior AML experience in multinational banks
Proficient Experience in RestFul/Web Services, XML, REST, SOAP
Experience in Financial Crimes tools such as Actimize, RDC
Advanced Service Design Concepts, OO and Functional Development concepts.
Strong Database design skills including SQL, procedures and query tuning
High-quality software architecture and design methodologies and patterns, such as SOA, Layered Architecture, and Component-based Architecture.
Agile Development Methodologies
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach
