Job Summary

In-house senior sales associate tasked with supporting complex TM sales execution efforts within an assigned geographical or industry related area. Work in partnership with assigned Treasury Relationship Managers (TRMs) to provide consultative solutions to clients. Assist in generating new revenue through the sale of Transaction Banking products and services to bank prospects and existing clients. Develop proficiency and knowledge of treasury and operational practices. Demonstrate the ability to work independently managing to deadlines. With guidance from team lead achieve key performance metrics tied to both revenue and activity volume. Lead special projects and initiatives as outlined by management team.

Major Responsibilities:

SALES EXECUTION:

  • Responsible for helping overall Treasury Sales team exceed assigned revenue and sales activity goals.

  • Participate in all aspects of proposals and annual reviews including but not limited to research, solution identification, development of supporting materials, presentation preparation, draft pricing models.

  • Reduce non-sales related activities for TRM(s).

  • Respond to internal partner or client queries as appropriate.

  • Resolve any issues/questions when the TRM(s) is out of office.

  • Communicate with clients and internal partners on regular basis via phone, email and in-person.

  • Independently research and build written content for complex proposals using internal resources and proposal software.

  • Develop and leverage industry knowledge as well as treasury systems and operations knowledge to provide high-level consultative value.

  • May occasionally perform technical product demonstrations via webinar.

  • Proactively recommend cross sell opportunities.

RISK MANAGEMENT:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and the Bank’s financial crimes policies and procedures

  • Effectively collaborate with partners across lines of defense as needed to successfully perform BSA/AML and other financial crimes activities

  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, and/or suspicious activity as it relates to effectively carrying out BSA/AML and other financial crimes responsibilities

  • Effectively collaborate with Know Your Customer (KYC) Team (FLOD and SLOD) to ensure client data requirements are met at customer onboarding, when a material change takes place, when additional accounts are opened where information has not been updated.

  • Manage KYC pipeline to ensure completion of all data requests within stated policy guidelines and parameters.

  • Effectively manage risks associated with the activities in your department or business unit.

  • Actively demonstrate knowledge and sensitivity to the current regulatory environment, complying with regulations and meeting regulatory expectations

  • Complete all assigned and applicable risk management and compliance training, on time, to increase awareness and adherence to risk management and regulatory compliance

IMPLEMENTATION:

  • Champion the implementation of treasury solutions; follow up with clients to ensure that we deliver on what is promised.

  • Oversee implementation of new treasury services from end-to-end.

  • Facilitate and manage maintenance requests as needed.

  • Communicate results and updates to clients and internal partners.

  • Develop a network of contacts across the bank to assist in process management and problem resolution.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

  • Associate may lead special projects and initiatives as directed by management.

  • May provide direction or support to less experienced Treasury Associates as needed.

  • May be assigned more complex research for non-standard client requests.

  • Take initiative to provide feedback on ways to improve the Treasury Associate process as it relates to Transaction Banking.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience in a financial environment.

  • The desire to work and learn as part of a team, fostering a healthy and collaborative atmosphere.

  • Exceptional time management skills – organization, prioritization and communication.

  • The ability and drive to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.

  • The passion to deliver exceptional results for yourself, the team, internal partners and our clients.

  • Proven professional verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of corporate treasury and financial operations needs is a plus.
