Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for liaising between the business and implementation teams to guide products from conception to launch, breaking down complex problems into steps that drive development. You will work with all business groups on a myriad of projects and enhancement requests and draw on your experience with business, technology, data, and analytics as well as demonstrated success in building relationships with client-facing business stakeholders and users.

Major Responsibilities:

Functional Design Documentation Creation

Overseeing the completions of the following Pre-design Session

  1. Validate schedules with System Manager and Blueprint with Architects for on time completion

  2. Confirm requirements, business process maps are available and linked in Jira prior to the start of the work (FDD prep by System Managers, Blueprints by Architects)

  3. Confirm required participants for the Pre-Design workshop and Design Review (System, Business, CDG, Microservices, FIS)

Overseeing the completions of the following Design Session

  1. Setup design sessions and capture minutes and circulate within 24 hours

  2. Setup follow-up design sessions if required to close FDD prior to TSR

  3. Ensure architecture blueprints are complete and have been previewed with the System Managers

  4. Track all materials (FDD, Blueprint, process maps, interface records, NFRs and DRs etc) for completeness and circulate to participants ahead of sessions

  5. Schedule meeting and validate acceptance of all required resources and facilitate design sessions

  6. Schedule and drive follow-ups to closure

Identify blockers and prioritize, escalate blocking issues

Overseeing the completions of the following Post Design Session

  1. Update JIRA, confluence, and any other relevant trackers with relevant information

  2. Follow-up with the owner(s) assigned to close blocking issue(s)

  3. Validate the FDD is complete and ready for Target State review

  4. Accountable for driving approval of FDD (For the ones assigned to them by the Integration lead)

  5. Create CCR for any changes to FDD and get it approved either through TSR or offline

  6. Create disposition change requests for Applications & Interface change requests as required

  7. Participate in Squad, PMO, TSR (as applicable), Adhoc and Escalation meetings

Overseeing the completions of the following Detailed Design Documentation

  1. Create interface design stories, Subtasks, labels once the FDD is approved

  2. Drive and ensure completion of one Interface design stories for DDD cycle 1 approval.

  3. Setup follow up design sessions to resolve blocker and successful completion of DDD Cycle1

  4. Drive and ensure Dev stories are created by the SO by providing the required guidelines for the interface design stories complete.

  5. Drive and ensure completion of remaining interface design stories for DDD Cycle 2 and approval

  6. Disposition change requests for Applications.

  7. Ringi bucket change requests as applicable

  8. Reapproval of FDD and DDD based on discovery of new scope etc.

  9. Participate in Squad, PMO, TSR (as applicable), Adhoc and Escalation meetings

  10. Liaison with Business/Architecture/CDG/Microservices/FIS team

  11. Manage Squads Priorities withing the DDD - tasks with priorities are treated to be done on time

Overseeing the completions of the following Data Clean up activity

  1. Cleanup of Data as per the process for Cancelled interface story as Cancelled/Bad Data, Cancelled/Descope/test only and Cancelled/duplicate.

  2. Submit interface change request to Cancel/new/update interfaces

  3. Create CCR for interface, scope, functional, blueprint etc change

  4. Ensure DA and CCR approvals through continuous follow up until successful closure

  5. Support any data quality issues in our scope from QA team

Overseeing the completions of the following Dev

  1. Ensure Dev stories are created by the SO by providing the required guidelines for all the completed interface/recode design subtasks

  2. Track the development progress, remove the blockers by coordinating with required teams.

  3. Track creation unit test cases and ensure it is uploaded in HP ALM

  4. Follow up with SO and infrastructure environment are ready.

  5. All the build and deployment jobs for on-prem, OpenShift, cloud are ready to be deployed and according to test plan and environment setup.

  6. Ensure proper release notes from Dev phase

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years' experience in building software products as a product manager or product owner

  • Experience with various levels of project or product management and/or software or process management

  • SDLC, Product Management, Project Management, Software development, Code testing and deployment knowledge, Jira and Confluence usage and understanding.

  • Experience operating in an Agile environment

  • Good understanding of technical concepts and consideration in building complex web applications, systems integration, and comfort in working closely with engineers and business leaders

  • Experience managing the product lifecycle from planning to completion

  • Thinks big picture and understands the potential risk and impact of decisions

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to lead through influence and drive results

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Stay on top of tasks and responsibilities; works well with minimal supervision; responds in a timely manner
