Responsible for assisting the Agricultural Services Department (ASD) Manager with the operation and management of the Agricultural Services Department of the Bank’s Valuation Services Department.
Perform evaluations of complex agribusiness operations, including management, crops livestock, processing, and equipment. Verifies collateral and analyzes cash flows for the securing and repaying of loans as provided in the Bank’s agribusiness lending policy.
Provide evaluation services in support of agriculture lending transactions, including new originations, renewals, asset monitoring, collection, and workout activities. The agricultural examination function provides objective, timely and accurate information relative to projected cash flows and collateral of agricultural credit as provided in the Bank's agribusiness policy.
Deliver agricultural services in a regulatory compliant, cost effective, and timely manner.
Assist the ASD Manager in implementing policy and procedures.
Work with the ASD Manager to manage junior level staff members: establishing performance standards and production goals; staffing level recommendations; promotions; salary action and terminations; performance appraisals.
Support the ASD manager in the preparation of workload forecasts.
Provide the ASD manager with ongoing management reports.
Assist the ASD manager with the coordination of data services, office automation products and equipment requirements among the regional offices which comprise the ASD.
5 years agricultural appraisal and budget review experience.
Knowledge of commercial farm operations and budgets, including revenues (crop prices, yields, etc.) and expenses (payroll, equipment, etc.) preferred
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Effective written and verbal communications skills.
Proficient in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience using the internet for appraisal related research.
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences or Finance a plus.
