Reporting to the Reporting Manager, the Reporting Analyst provides comprehensive and complex business analysis, report development, and data management for the assigned business line.
Conducts/compiles and analyzes data for deposits, operational KPIs, and client experience Manages day to day data needs for reporting and analysis while continuously creates efficiencies.
Develop complex dashboards that serve the needs of senior leadership and customer facing job roles.
Requires deep understanding of business lines supported to properly align data and reporting to the strategic goals and plans.
Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
Manages the sales data through ad hoc and management reporting.
Will be responsible for process improvement/automation pertaining to reporting and data management.
Develops and runs complex models to produce projections, simulate scenarios, and obtain comparative data.
Establishes assumptions and critical decision variables.
Tests for consistency and validity. Creates and maintains models used for forecasts and strategic business decisions.
Develop and track KPI metrics for the business line senior management.
Tracks, monitors, and analyzes the goals and associated metrics.
Develop sophisticated spreadsheets that include advance and interactive functions such as macros/pivot tables or other advanced formulas, etc.
Maintains a sales cube and various databases.
Runs the necessary reports and/or programs for reporting, analysis, and data management.
Acts as liaison between department and systems personnel to develop or enhance systems.
May oversee preparation of reports/data used to determine incentive compensation payouts under various incentive plans.
Internal consulting - guide/assist business units on best practices in reporting their results, obtaining goals, etc. May work closely with Business Intelligence Group for long-term automation opportunities and may develop executive reports that leverage Business Intelligence databases.
At a minimum, the right candidate should meet the following criteria:
Requires a four-year college degree (or comparable work experience).
One or more of the following designations: MBA, CFA, CPA or similar professional designation in Financial Management, or MS in Math and/or Accounting is strongly preferred.
Generally minimum of 3 years of increasingly more complex responsibility in performing financial and statistical analysis and model preparation using MS excel, (or comparable).
Requires the ability to communicate comfortably and concisely with Executive Management.
Report development and modeling experience preferred.
Ability to work under time pressure and handle multiple projects at a time.
Ability to communicate, influence, negotiate, and persuade team members at all levels.
Requires good time management skills. Experience with PowerPoint, Access, Excel, SQL, SQL Plus, Oracle, Tableau, and SAP Business Objects.
