Job Summary:

Sr. Mortgage Consultant Associates work successfully alongside one or more high producing Mortgage Consultants. You are hands on with running loan pipelines and prioritizing loans for funding by delivering necessary technical, clerical and sales support. Are you inspired to do your best work when you are able to collaborate and build positive working relationships? In this role, developing strong and cohesive partnerships with loan origination, processing and underwriting teams positively impacts loan production levels every single day. You are a trusted advisor and liaison between all partners involved and relied upon heavily throughout the entire loan process. Your positive contributions and product knowledge improve loan origination results for the entire Mortgage platform. Simply put, we can't do it with you.

Major Responsibilities:

  • You will initiate the prequalification of potential borrowers using bank standards and quote rates.

  • Communicating loan options and loan status to various parties of transaction including borrowers, real estate professionals, branch personnel etc.

  • Coordination and ordering standard loan requirements and verifications; title, escrow, appraisal, verification of employments, verification of assets etc.

  • Effectively assist with identifying new business development opportunities by keeping current of industry trends.

  • Engagement with marketing support and activities, including development of meaningful marketing systems and cross selling of other bank products.

  • Your sales support and participation in face to face meetings with borrowers, bank partners and outside referral sources are helpful.



  • Do you have two or more years' recent mortgage operations, underwriting and/or processing experience?

  • Are you skilled with computer software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.? It's critical to your daily functions.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation and communication skills to be successful.

  • Can you handle several tasks simultaneously, establish priority and coordinate work within a productive environment?

This position may be subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements.
