Establishing the Bank’s Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) Operations Design, Tuning and Optimization capabilities, including threshold tuning, optimization of rules tuning, and existing filter platform to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Performing tuning and assessment of system alerts to recommend parameter settings with WLF, HotScan, or Firco Sanctions/name screening systems, and AML (negative news and pep screening) with watchlist providers (Accuity, Dow Jones, or World check). Creating and enhancing Sanctions and AML Screening Optimization and tuning procedures. Creating and executing test cases to test functionality of Sanctions and AML screening systems. Developing test plans and creating tailored business rules to reduce hit rate. Preparing tuning data, reviewing hit reduction strategies; and performing data analysis to determine and verify business requirements/issues specification, flows and deliverables for sanctions or name screening projects. Developing model documentation related to production and pre-production tuning efforts and changes to sanctions or AML name screening systems to ensure comprehensive audit trail. Creating tailor business rules to reduce hit rate, preparing tuning data, reviewing hit reduction strategies, and identifying and mitigating sanctions risks through periodic risk assessment on algorithms and rules. Supporting leadership to ensure a globally consistent effort that enables continuing improvement to the sanctions screening capabilities and further mitigate potential financial crime. Planning, designing, and configuring code/configuration sanctions screening applications. Creating and assessing samples for ATL/BTL testing in order to validate that the sanctions and AML screening model is effective and functioning accordingly. Supporting the development of policies and procedures for sanctions screening life cycle. Coordinating with regional Design, Tuning and Optimization teams to implement on the global model. Working collaboratively across functional teams within GFCD to ensure effective and efficient operations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications – External

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related technology field of study (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 5 years of Sanctions or AML Screening experience performing tuning & assessment of system alerts to recommend parameter settings with WLF, HotScan, or Firco Sanctions/name screening systems, and AML (negative news and pep screening) with watchlist providers (Accuity, Dow Jones, or World check); creating and enhancing Sanctions and AML Screening Optimization and tuning procedures; creating and executing test cases to test functionality of Sanctions and AML screening systems; developing test plans and creating tailored business rules to reduce hit rate; preparing tuning data, reviewing hit reduction strategies; performing data analysis to determine and verify business requirements/issues specification, flows and deliverables for sanctions or name screening projects; and developing documentation related to production and pre-production tuning efforts and changes to sanctions or AML name screening systems to ensure comprehensive audit trail.

Other: Position may allow remote employment from a commutable location 3 days a week.

Travel: Position may require 15% domestic and international travel.

Wage: $126,402 to $165,000 U.S. dollars per year
