The Global Financial Crimes Manager leads or collaborates with a team of compliance professionals dedicated to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements associated with anti-money laundering, international sanctions, and adherence to the Bank’s OFAC Global Standards.
Partner with AML Investigators and Global SMEs to understand the Target state processes and the target platform requirements for AML, KYC and Sanctions.
Partner with AML Investigators in order to understand their workflow and to utilize their feedback, where appropriate, to strengthen the quality of AML and EDD Analytics work product.
Partner with Business Line (BL) contacts to fully-understand product offerings, embedded BL compliance functions, and where the AML and EDD Analytics team can provide value in terms of risk coverage and mitigation.
Expertise in creating UAT Standards for Financial Crimes operations for AML, KYC and Sanctions
Lead the development and implementation of new reporting functionality and transaction monitoring channels for AML and EDD support purposes.
Create professional program/reporting documentation in support of AML Monitoring, Enhanced Due Diligence and Sanctions
Work with technology and senior AML management to drive the Financial Crimes Compliance.
Professional presentation skills for audiences including but not limited to senior leadership, regulatory and business partners.
Timely response to data requests.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and daily guidance to analysts.
Ability to Research and conduct analytics
Experience managing production and quality results
Leading an enhanced due diligence function
Experience with leading change; resolving conflict
Experience managing production and quality results
Lead a team to create UAT Standards for AML, KYC and Sanctions
Possess an awareness of regulatory and Bank compliance environments as well as an interest to self-educate on new topics and changing requirements.
Responsible for supporting the global financial crimes director by managing assigned day to day activities focused on systemic compliance with global BSA/AML/Sanctions programs
Ensures appropriate processes are developed in accordance with Global Financial Crimes risk initiatives and objectives
Designs and produces materials within scope of assigned processes, to include any relevant statistical and written reporting
May have oversight of a team of compliance professionals, both locally and globally, to ensure all daily responsibilities are completed
Contributes to Global Financial Crimes processes by identifying opportunities for improved adherence to compliance requirements
May lead a team of compliance professionals, based locally and globally
Education, Licensure, Year of Experience (and type of work experience):
5 to7 years of experience within the financial services industry, specific to global risk and financial crimes
AML and KYC experience preferred
A comprehensive understanding of AML/BSA/OFAC controls
Experience in leading UAT for Actimize SAM, WLF, KYC, CDD and RCM modules
Experience building and leading a team with a proven record of results
Strong investigative and research skills
ACAMS designation preferred
Some experience applying sanctions compliance laws and regulations to international financial crimes programs
Deep experience investigating compliance processes, performing compliance testing, training, quality control/assurance processes, and internal/external audits
Experience managing and being part of diverse international teams
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of AML, KYC and Sanctions compliance laws and regulations
Deep understanding of banking products and processes as they relate to sanctions controls
Excellent judgement and analytical skills
Excellent oral/ written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
