This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

The Letter of Credit Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Agency Servicing Team within MUFG Bank, and will play a key role in mitigating risk within the function. This includes daily monitoring and operation on Lead Agency Loan deals. The role will report directly into the Assistant Vice President, who oversees Letter of Credit operations for the Agency function in the US.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Day to day Standby Letter of Credit and Trade Finance Letter of Credit operational handling and processing including Assignment & Acceptance of the deal.

  • Able to work in a team with members both in the US and overseas.

  • Liaison between Agency Servicing team, Syndications, Middle Office and Trading Service Operations team on Letters of Credits management.

  • Liaison between MUFG and member banks on Letter of Credit transactions, communicate and assist clients and investors regarding questions and inquiries on deals agented by MUFG.

  • Accurately and efficiently process financial and non-financial transactions to loan and LC accounts.

  • Process wires and the General Ledger inputs to process all Letter of Credit fee payments.

  • Ensure to manage transactions appropriately, minimizing operational risks and losses, and ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in the servicer role of Administrative Agent bank.

  • Knowledge of Trade Finance and Fronting LC process is a plus.

  • Comfortable interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Bank’s Clients, Syndications, Front Office, auditors, regulators, etc.

  • Knowledge of systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business, ACBS, Loan IQ, and MS Office.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $66K– $77K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
