Job Summary
The Loans Analyst has responsibility for managing a non-vanilla Syndicated Portfolio where MUB acts as a lender as well as assist and train Jr. Staff.
Responsible for handling a portfolio of Syndicated Loans including all daily transactions associated with specific portfolio (Rollovers, Draws, Paydowns, Interest Payments, etc.)
Ensure all lending transactions are booked and managed correctly, minimizing operational risks and losses and ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures
Comfortable managing all aspects of Loan servicing
Timely billing if applicable and process all incoming funds for fees, principal and interests.
Process outgoing loan related payments via GPP/MTX for FED/CHIP/SWIFT payment.
Update customer / agent bank contact list and special handling list periodically.
Investigate and resolve pending items in Cash Accounts, Past Dues, Suspense and Break-funding charges
Secure approvals from Middle Office, Front Office, Client when necessary
Ability to reconcile outstanding breaks (Cash, Past Dues and Data Integrity)
Ability to monitor multiple work queues at once
Working Adhoc inquiries that are received from business lines, clients, agents, etc.
Skills & Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in Syndicated lending,
Ability to analyze and streamline operational processes enhancing productivity and efficiency. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
Knowledge of Bank systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: ACBS, Loan IQ, AFS, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Intralinks, Debt Domain
Very strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a high-pressure environment
Prior Experience Managing People a plus
Salary
The typical base range for this role is between $65K – $78K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
