Tier 1 Sanction Screening of all payments and employee’s


As a member of the Compliance Department, you will contribute to:

  • Delivering high-quality and pro-active support to business activities, assisting the firm to do business in the right way and to grow its business-footprint. Liaise with regulators to promote a good understanding of the firm’s controls and governance.

  • Ensuring key processes are run efficiently to deliver quality and reliable information, to support the firm’s business growth and control procedures. Developing and integrating these processes with the equivalents in BTMU to deliver a first-class EMEA team.

  • Deliver risk-based assurance to the firm’s senior management and the Group through independent challenge and quality reporting.

  • In all your activities ensure that the legal entity integrity of both the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and MUFG Securities EMEA plc is respected, escalating to your supervisor if you identify any actual or perceived conflicts of interest between them.



  • Tier 1 is responsible for the initial screening of payments that are flagged as sanctions risks through our internal systems.

  • Once a potential match is found, tier 1 will escalate the payment to Tier 2 Escalations.

  • Tier 1 is also responsible for conducting screening of the Bank’s employees and handling any operational related queries regarding payments held in the sanctions screening systems.



  • Previous exposure to Bank back office Operations


Education / Qualifications:

  • GCSE English and Maths


  • Excellent communication skills
