OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
Role and responsibilities of Treasury Department are;
Control liquidity risk: Control liquidity risk effectively in EMEA region and collaborate with regional offices to build robust framework for liquidity management
Control interest risk: Control interest risk effectively and properly in EMEA region
Customer support: Support customer-orientated business growth by providing competitive transfer price as well as ample liquidity
Regulatory responsibilities: Ensure fair and prudent benchmark rates setting
Projects Management : In addition to above usual tasks, take additional tasks including many 'Projects’ to promote the treasury business as whole bank basis
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Contribute towards the implementation of the deposit gathering strategy within EMEA, in conjunction with key stakeholders including GCIB and TID.
Enhance tenor quality of Non JPY funding, and quantity of USD term deposit, subject to the funding requirements of MUFG Bank.
Ensure Deposit Sales desk activities comply with all Regulatory requirements.
Adapt Business operations to fulfil regulatory changes required, with focus on alignment to Basle III; LCR.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake responsibility for the following;
(i) Money Market business promotion to customers with emphasis on EMEA Money Market funds, Asset managers, FI and other public entities.
(ii) Contributing to global liquidity management of MUFG group.
(iii) Contribute to EGMD Money Market Sales Strategy, and support development of product and process within MUFG.
(iv) Customer Money market business execution, associated administration and report preparation.
(v) To undertake such training and development activity as directed by your line Manager to ensure you remain a fit, proper, trained and competent person to perform the Controlled Functions required as an Approved Person.
Perform duties as requested by Head of Deposit Sales Desk and as set out in the list of Job Functions/Authority Delegations established for Treasury Group.
Coordinate with the business owner, Treasury and Investment Division, in performing your responsibilities specified above.
