MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Exciting front office opportunity to work in a team that delivers a full cross section of working capital solutions to MUFG EMEA clients. The team is unique as it combines all structured working capital solutions in receivable, payable and inventory space for clients. The role will focus on expanding the newly launched SCF platform that has senior management visibility in MUFG.
Support the origination, structuring and execution of Supply Chain Finance (SCF) deals on MUFG’s Trade Payable Services SCF platform.
Support the origination and execution of other SP&SCF products including Diversified Pool Receivable Solutions, Receivable Purchase Solutions and new product innovations within the Working Capital space including reviewing documentation and liaising with the client, external and internal counterparties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Applicant will need to work closely with the team lead and liaise with coverage teams on client analysis and selection in order to arrange initial and follow up meetings.
Articulate internally the SCF platform capabilities and marketing strategy. Follow up with target list RMs on setting up client discussions
Support team lead in identifying target Clients based on TPS’ industry and geographic fit and scale of operations
Prepare teaser slides for clients and understand client priorities for working capital improvement
Provide financial impact benefits of a SCF program for the clients by analysing working capital benefits, spend data, leverage impact etc.
Prepare client benchmarking and peer analysis and analyse term extension and impact on working capital of SCF and Receivable Purchase solutions
Assist with the preparation of RfPs by working across regions to complete the required information and prepare / present select sections at the subsequent meetings with clients.
Support SCF team with the distribution (OtD) by co-ordinating negotiation of the Master Participation agreements and preparing the funding notices. This will involve close collaboration with the US and EMEA trade distribution teams.
Maintain a summary of guidance from top 4 accounting firms on SCF disclosures and accounting conventions and update that guidance for internal consumption on a periodic basis
Support Origination team and co-ordinate with US SCF team to develop a coherent ESG linked SCF strategy.
Manage day to day interactions with new clients on the TPS EMEA SCF platform to seek resolution and / or escalation as required.
Support developments of new SCF platforms to support SCF revenues
SP&SCF Support (as required):
Support structuring team and co-ordinate with US SCF team on new transactions for Financial Sponsors in line with the new FIG and Seller Rating strategies.
This will include analysis and production of structural risk memoranda and reports including cash flow modelling with regard other SP&SCF products.
Support any related SP&SCF projects and initiatives in order to effectively and efficiently conclude the project.
Support SP&SCF team with NPAs as we launch new products in EMEA.
MUS (as required)
Build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network, gather relevant information and help to ensure effective inter-departmental collaboration.
Work in partnership with other parts of MUFG to deliver franchise and business growth.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Relevant experience and knowledge of the SCF and ARPS products particularly in the EMEA region would be an advantage.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Functional / Technical Competencies:
Knowledge of the competitor landscape within SCF/ Working Capital solution space
Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment
Knowledge of credit, risk management, market and legal aspects of receivables and payables products
Excellent knowledge and skill working with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
Fluency in German or French (and other European languages) desirable
Education / Qualifications:
- Degree Level or equivalent
