As part of the ETP group, the E-Platforms team supports and develops trading platforms across all asset classes and supports almost all trading desks. The team is physically located in the center of the trade floor.

The purpose of this role is to participate in a number of different projects as part of the Apex Team.

The Role is to form part of the Apex Team to handle day to day BAU queiries and small projects development. The role also involves dealing with stakeholders in regards to Project related requirements but also release management, Code review and cworking off our technical BAU work list.

Main Purpose of the Role :

  • Functional support is responsible for the delivery and support of IT services

  • To provide first and second line support for trading platforms to Repo,SBL and TRY Desks

  • Work in our BAU Project team

  • Investigating & resolving incidents

  • Performing Code reviews

  • Incident management

  • Drafting new project requirements

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, other project members, and the vendor to identify and design solutions for business needs.

  • Coordinate with Apex Projects to ensure Apex code is reviewed and deployed in production correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide “hands-on” support of the Apex platform

  • Maintain the Apex platform and all its Services

  • Analysis of business requirements and provide specificastions and solutions to solve Front office issues.

  • L1 and L2 support – from dealing with trader queries through to analysing the requiremnets and provide solutions.

  • Maintenance / keeping the systems up to date.

  • BAU initiatives and projects.

  • Representing the support function in projects

  • Functional testing of key Apex BAU deliverables.

  • Test results validation and approval for BAU projects.

  • Providing technical solutions to key business issues in Apex BAU

  • Maintain a high level of quality in the code delivered.

  • Ensure that the code delivered does not cause any production issues.

  • Ensure the integrity of the system is maintained while delivering new or enhanced functionality.

  • Analysis of business requirements and provide specificastions and solutions to solve Front office issues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with financial products within an investment bank's Fixed Income Desks

  • Practical experience with a variety of trading platforms, such as Apex.

  • C++ experience (required)

  • Apex toolkit API experience (required)

  • Experience with the Apex Loanet Interface (ALI) (desired)

  • Experience with Google Unit tests (desired)

  • Ability to document and share information accurately with global peers

  • A working knowledge of derivatives, repos, and SBL products

  • An in-depth understanding of end-to-end trade flow, pricing, and trade booking is required.

  • Understanding the FIX protocol and FIX messages

  • Technical and analytical skills are essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • A working knowledge of Linux environments, including performance and maintenance

  • Ability to understand business problems and solve them using technical solutions
