OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
The International Securities Financing team are focused on Equity Financing, REPO/SBL and Index financing Solutions.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Trading role with a main focus supporting the primary trader in Equity Financing
Daily pricing and execution of trades versus SBL/REPO including Triparty agents.
Maximizing use of resources including key liquidity metrics NSFR, LCR, leverage and balance sheet.
Working closely with the Equities Derivatives team for their sourcing and funding needs
Underlying coverage including European, North American and Japanese securities
Support the team in sales and on-boarding process, strong interbank, agent lender and buy side relationships
Good cultural fit essential as working in a small trading team with a broad mandate trading a global book so candidate needs to be proactive, resilient, collegiate and good at engaging with all key stakeholders around the bank such as Management, OPS, Risk, and Finance
Technically proficient with a good understanding of the technical aspects of Securities Lending (including repo), balance sheet management, collateral management including pertinent regulatory, operational and tax considerations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Trading equity borrow/loan, equity REPO and collateral trading.
Generating collateral or utilizing firm collateral via REPO/SBL/TRS in multiple currencies
Build and maintain client trading relationships
Support and collaborate on Equity financing strategies with Equity Derivatives
Efficient risk management of all lifecycle events in TRS and SBL
Oversee operational elements of the book, liaising closely with middle and back office to resolve any issues and implement process and platform enhancements
Liaise closely with support functions (Compliance/Finance/Risk) on position reporting and analysis
WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential:
4yr+ experience trading SBL/Triparty and resource management core expertise in Equity Financing
Working knowledge of TRS and resource management (Capital, Balance Sheet, Unsecured Funding)
Current working knowledge of latest industry initiatives impacting equity derivatives and SBL (e.g. MIFID II, IBOR decommissioning, CSDR)
Preferred:
- Trading experience in Equity TRS or TRF and listed/OTC Futures.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Functional / Technical Competencies:
Essential
Proficiency in all aspects of trading SBL and Collateral Swaps from execution though all lifecycle events
Direct exposure to Agent Lenders, Broker/Dealer and Real Money accounts
Entrepreneurial problem-solving mindset, able to self-generate flows
Technical proficiency in use of trading platforms e.g. Bbg/Apex
Preferred
Proficiency in equity financing strategies
Proficiency in all aspect of TRS pricing, executing and life cycle events
Proficiency in other listed or OTC derivative financing strategies
Working knowledge of regulatory metrics including LCR, NSFR etc.
Education / Qualifications:
Essential
Regulatory (FCA) Certification
Further professional qualifications (Masters/CFA/CQF) an advantage
