  • Executive/Management Support (like “Chief of Staff” in global peers)

  • Tokyo Stakeholder Management (liaison between Tokyo and EMEA)

  • Holistic Regional Reporting & Regional Intelligence

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Regional CEO, Chief of Staff for EMEA by executing tasks assigned by them. This includes;

  • Liaising between Head Office divisions in Tokyo and divisions / Branches in EMEA

  • Communicating and negotiating with Tokyo / EMEA stakeholders for assigned matters. If necessary interpreting between English and Japanese

  • Compiling regular reporting to Head Office

  • Creating and managing documents, spreadsheets and presentation as necessary

  • Scheduling meetings, taking minutes and arranging conferences and events as necessary

  • Supporting implementing strategic projects in multiple areas

  • Enhancing EMEA staff’s information security awareness and prevent information leakage incident from the Bank. This includes;

  • Design and carry out training

  • Review policy and procedures

  • Approve exceptions to the procedures

  • Monitor incidents and taking preventative measures

  • Support projects such as policy alignment between group entities and implementation of Data Loss Prevention system within the region

  • Manage self-check of the compliance to the internal rules and report to Head Office

  • Handle administrative tasks for Office of the Chief of Staff for EMEA

  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence as necessary

  • Maintain and enhance good working relationship with stakeholders across the region and globally

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential

  • Understanding of financing businesses, both in the global and regional markets

  • Fluent English and Japanese language skills, both written and oral

  • Good working knowledge of Japanese business culture or experience of adapting to and working with different culture

  • Well-developed communication skill

  • Ability to negotiate and settle issues with stakeholders

  • Good team worker

  • Ability to prioritize and drive deadlines
