OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION

The Workday Governance team in EMEA are part of a larger global Workday Governance team at MUFG. The regional EMEA team provide Workday support to our employees; managers and HR Centre of Excellence in all EMEA regions for Bank and Securities.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • To serve as a subject matter expert for the Security module in Workday

  • Leads and manages the specified Workday module throughout the systems lifecycle

  • Is an advocate for Workday being the golden source of employee information and continuously seeks ways in which the system can be optimised/enhanced

  • To be an active participant/member of the global governance structure that underpins the controls within the tenant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and update security policies, domains, segmented security, role based and user based roles

  • Lead the validation, vetting of all roles and respective security group assignments

  • Maintain end user access in the Workday system

  • Assist users with security-related issues, troubleshoot and access problems, and provide guidance on security best practice

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define security roles, access controls, and permission sets, ensuring the appropriate level of data security and segregation duties

  • Proactively identify and address any potential compliance issues related to data access, data retention and data sharing

  • Continuously monitor and assess security controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes

  • Serves as a subject matter expert liaising with regional counterparts to support the global platform following a defined global governance structure

  • As part of a team composed of global and local Workday specialist, technology and HR function stakeholders this role will help guide, lead and design security enhancements

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and proposes solutions

  • Acts as an internal consultant regarding system capabilities, providing recommendations via effective communications to stakeholders

  • Provide user support and training

  • Updates and maintains documentation

WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Advanced knowledge in Workday Security

  • Workday experience in HCM and Workday Recruit

  • EIB experience

Preferred:

  • Any other Workday module experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential

  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS

  • Good working knowledge of Workday, ideally in a complex multi entity and multinational organisation

  • Subject matter expertise of HR business processes; ability to document processes and generate clear and concise business requirements for non-technical audiences

  • Ability to identify and articulate options to stakeholders and influence decisions based on facts and analysis

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Understanding of GDPR and local EMEA data legislations

MUFG operate a hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office
