Position Summary : We are looking to add an experienced credit analyst to support our aviation finance portfolio management team. MUFG established a new aviation finance investment banking practice in late 2016. The loan portfolio has since grown to $1.5 billion, and consists primarily of structured loans to commercial aircraft operating lessors and airlines. This business will continue to grow organically and through acquisitions.

This role is responsible for the following:

  1. You will perform underwriting activities for new transactions

  2. You will complete the credit reporting for the existing aviation finance portfolio

  3. You will also perform other aviation finance portfolio management duties

Key Responsibilities :

  • You will monitor a portfolio of structured loans to airlines and operating lessors of commercial aircraft.

  • You will also handle waiver, amendments, and other transaction life-cycle events.

  • Prepare detailed transaction reporting to senior management on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.

  • Provide underwriting support for the aviation finance originations team.

  • You will conduct financial analysis of, and assign internal risk ratings for current and potential new loans.

  • Provide support for other projects relating to the management and governance of the aviation finance loan portfolio.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus

  • At least 2 years of experience in a corporate or structured credit monitoring and reporting role with 5 or more years of overall related experience

  • Experience reading loan and bond documentation.

  • Aviation finance experience preferred, but not required.
