Job Summary:



Reporting to the Deputy Capital Manager, the Capital Planning Analyst is responsible for contributing towards the development of the Bank's Capital evaluation and reporting, as part of Treasury's leadership role in the organization's overall Capital Adequacy Process (CAP). The role’s support of the CAP will include playing a contributing role in working with the other units of the Bank, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Risk Management, Corporate Development, and Internal Audit. This role will also work with other units of the Corporate Treasury. For all of the above, this person will play a key role in providing analytical support and reporting to a) stakeholders of the CAP and b) the lines of business and FP&A.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to quarterly Capital Adequacy reporting, including analysis of actual and forecasted capital positions, capital structure, peer analysis, regulatory updates, stress testing results

  • Coordinate team-wide project plans and calendars for peak production periods and major projects; create and maintain timelines and status reporting

  • Produce monthly capital dashboard and quarterly capital update reporting for internal management

  • Contribute to presentation materials for CCAR & Mid-Cycle DFAST stress testing for senior management, committees and the Board of Directors

  • Support drafting of Capital sections of the Annual Capital Plan for the CCAR submission, as well as supporting documentation for regulatory submission

  • Perform quarterly and annual updates of risk & control self-assessments, ensure compliance with end-user computing policies, maintain strict quality control standards for forecast projections, analysis, and documentation

  • Produce industry analysis of annual CCAR and DFAST stress testing results

  • Liaise with Internal Auditors and Controls Assurance & Advisory contacts, providing response to inquiries and evidence of compliance with documented controls

  • Contribute to ad-hoc RWA & Capital optimization opportunities

  • Contribute to Recovery & Resolution Planning capital-related content

  • Modify existing or build new ad-hoc capital reports using business intelligence tools

  • Monitor compliance with internal Capital Policy requirements and implications on forecasting and supporting documentation

  • A BA/BS degree from a 4-year college

  • Minimum of 3 years in a finance or risk position, preferably in banking

  • Highly detail oriented

  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented

  • Ability to excel under tight deadlines and be viewed as a team player
