The Graduate Student Analyst Program at Union Bank has a reputation for providing college students with the opportunity to participate in important projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, interns have the opportunity to participate in activities that support networking with peers, managers, and bank employees.
Program Goals & Objectives
We are seeking high-achievers with intellect, innovation and enthusiasm. All chosen students must have a strong work ethic and work well within a collaborative environment and alone as needed. The team, to which the student is chosen, will assign several responsibilities and projects relevant to the group and department needs.
This Student Internship is targeted at first- or second-year graduate level students. This is a long-term (9 months) internship in the Union Bank Community Development Finance Group located in the Century City office. The intern responsibilities include:
Evaluating the financial information of public and private real estate companies
Reviewing property cash flows, valuations, projections, and market conditions that will affect real estate credits
Assessing regional and national economics, market conditions and how they may affect customers and prospects
We are seeking someone with a genuine interest in a career in Community Development Finance. Additionally, the right candidate will have the following qualifications:
Graduate student in a qualified Master's Program preferred
You possess excellent analytical skills including the ability to evaluate the financial information of public and private real estate companies
You have experience evaluating property cash flows, valuations, projections, and market conditions that will affect real estate credits
You are able to assess regional and national economics, market conditions and how they may affect customers and prospects
You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
You have excellent organizational skills as well as time management and attention-to-detail abilities
You are a strong communicator both written and verbally
Previous intern or work experience in Commercial Real Estate is a plus
You have a reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency, big picture orientation and business insight
