The incumbent will be responsible for the management of staff who process a high volume of cash transactions related to client payment requests via wire, check, ACH or internal book transfer. Experience in a payment processing environment as well as a strong understanding of applicable policies and procedures will be needed to provide effective leadership for staff and internal business partners. Must be able to gather and assess information from multiple sources to make decisions when facing multiple deadlines.
Ensure that staff members understand and comply with all procedures, policies or regulations that impact the payments processing environment
Serve as the first point of escalation for staff when questions or issues arise and work with management or business group partners to reach effective resolution
Manage items within multiple work queues to ensure that processing deadlines are met throughout each day for all corporate trust payments and reallocate tasks as needed
Conduct transaction approval/input or perform callbacks as needed to ensure items in the work queue are processed timely
Provide oversight for reconciliation of daily payments processing
Assist in the development of training programs for newly onboarded staff as well as continuous development of existing staff
Identify opportunities for personal development with staff and provide coaching to achieve improvement
Complete performance reviews for staff under direct management (New York location)
Manage and monitor work schedules to ensure staff availability does not negatively impact production needs
Assist in the development and implementation of procedures
Understand the risks associated with the various types of payments and transactions that are being processed
Payment processing experience (5 to 6 years)
Trust 3000/SEI experience is a plus
Corporate Trust experience is a plus
