Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head of the Central Risk & Control Office (‘CRCO’) Reporting Group, the CRCO Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting is provided regarding the population of issues, risks, and controls across MUFG Union Bank and other MUFG affiliates (collectively the ‘Enterprise’).

The information and data made available through the CRCO Reporting group creates transparency for the Board of Directors, Sr. Executive Leaders, Business Unit Leaders, Internal Audit Partners, Regulators and other constituents, as necessary, to have a comprehensive understanding of issues, risks, and controls across the Enterprise, as well as to take the necessary actions and make appropriate decisions to ensure timely and successful issue remediation.

Major Responsibilities:

The CRCO Reporting Analyst ensures the quality and completeness of reporting and the data included in reporting is of the highest degree of accuracy and timeliness so that senior leaders in the Enterprise have confidence in the information being provided and can make decisions to ensure the appropriate actions are being taken to drive effective and efficient remediation of issues, mitigation of risks, and enhancements of controls across the Enterprise.

The basic responsibilities of the CRCO Reporting Analyst are:

  • Provide business intelligence support as key contact for CRCO Reporting

  • Ensure data and information used for reporting is sourced from the appropriate system(s) of record

  • Analyze data/information to identify and resolve data quality issues

  • Work with divisional business partners, source system liaisons, technology partners, and CRCO team members to confirm data quality and identify & resolve data quality issues

  • Compile data/information into meaningful, accurate, and complete reporting

  • Prepare and distribute established, periodic reporting requirements in accordance with report production schedules

  • Prepare and distribute ad hoc reporting in accordance with requirements from the Head of CRCO Reporting

  • Define and maintain strong internal controls for reporting and validation routines

  • Develop and/or update written Standard Operating Procedures for reporting processes and data validations

  • Other routines and reviews as determined by CRCO Leadership

Qualifications

  • 4 year university degree in related field

  • 3 years’ experience generating and delivering executive management reporting

  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services is preferred

  • Experience in Risk Management or Audit is a plus

  • Strong proficiency in the use of reporting environments, systems, and applications including:

  • Excel (Advanced)

  • MS Access/SQL Server

  • Business Objects/Tableau

  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, to all staff levels
