Job Summary:

The main objectives of the Interest Rate Derivatives Analyst role in Global Markets Division of the Americas (GMDA) will be to provide system support as a Business Analyst for GMDA Sales and Trading. The role is a mix of business analysis and project coordination where you will be the voice for the business and represent GMDA on system related projects and business strategies. You will have the opportunity to learn and work closely with Interest Rate Derivative (IRD) Sales, Trading, Technology and various teams in GMDA. The role requires the ability to work in a demanding front office environment and take the initiative to drive results.

Major Responsibilities:

System Support Responsibilities

  • Apply strong analytic skills to understand and solve problems

  • Create concise, thorough and clear business requirement documentation

  • Collaborate with various internal groups to determine and resolve issues

  • Improve upon existing production support processes for Traders and Marketers

Project Responsibilities

  • Support project deliverables by coordinating with Traders, Marketers, Onboarding, Technology, Contract Management, Compliance and Legal

  • Assist with gathering business requirements, testing support and representing Global Market’s position on projects

  • Support several projects or initiatives simultaneously

  • Track, monitor and regularly report projects and initiatives for Sales and Trading

Qualifications

We require:

  • A business or technology related BS or BA degree or related field, or 2 to 5 years of experience in Global Markets

  • A minimum of 1 year of related business systems analysis experience. Prior BA experience within a financial services environment is a decisive asset

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (waterfall and agile), milestones and deliverables

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to create management reports, manage project issues and monitor testing

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with various groups in Los Angeles and New York

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge on Interest Rate Derivatives trade processing, and client onboarding

  • Experience with project management toolsets such as Clarity and MS Project

  • Experience with industry wide IRD platforms such as Calypso, MUREX and MarkitWire

  • Knowledge of database queries (SQL)
