Training Coordinator, AVP
The Trainer Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering the IT Project Management Process related training programs. This function supports training for project management staff of significant projects within IT, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes. We are looking for demonstrated experience in training project management waterfall life cycle and tools/applications e.g., Microsoft Project Server, in an enterprise environment. This position will also help drive execution through designing, developing and improving MUFG internal project management processes.
Manage the complete training process: understand requirements, design curriculum for project management processes and tools, authoring participant and facilitator training materials, and schedule and deliver training virtually to end users
Conduct classes, track attendance, assess results, and implement enhancements as needed
Develop a deep knowledge of our project management methodology and tools to act as subject matter expert to provide highest level of support to managers, project managers, business analyst, and other employees
Develop and maintain standards and operational procedure documents
Work with technology partners to gather requirements and assist in documenting new processes and procedures to ensure alignment with project management practices
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 – 5 years of training and development and/or project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred experience in demonstrated in-depth knowledge of information technology concepts, practices and terminology related to project management
Possesses and applies broad knowledge of training and development techniques, tools, and processes, including instructional design
Skilled in presenting/facilitating to diverse audiences and all levels of staff
Ability to deliver solutions including both system function and non-system supported manual procedures
Able to motivate, communicate, and instruct/train others, using both technical and non-technical language to explain complex subjects and processes
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to provide coaching and constructive feedback in the classroom and in one-on-one situations
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work under pressure, think analytically and communicate effectively between IT and non IT users.
Conceptual knowledge of eLearning development and systems
Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in Visio, Microsoft SharePoint, and MS Project preferred
Operational experience with learning management systems desired
