Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Reporting : Responsible to oversee the daily / monthly / quarterly / annual accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with local and group accounting standards and regulations, as well as internal guidelines.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis : Support the development and execution of financial plans, monitoring budget and financial performance, taking into account legislations and macroeconomic trends impacting the business and company.

  • Tax Planning and Compliance : Responsible to ensure the company is in compliance with all tax laws and regulations.

  • Project Management & Financial Advisory : Proactively participate in accounting related projects, new product analysis on accounting risk, Systems User Acceptance Testing.

  • Control & Governance : Maintain good internal control and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting, with periodic review of workflow process with a view to improve turnaround and productivity.

  • Collaborate on company initiatives : Support working groups towards greater innovation and agility, and support initiatives to encourage more sustainable practices.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Accountancy/Finance or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution with professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc)

  • Strong PC skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, MS Access, Power Point).

  • A good team player who is meticulous, details oriented and pro-active.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of accounting, MFRS and banking regulation.

  • Good stakeholder management skills.
