Job Summary:

Responsible for developing new Agency Finance relationships with Commercial Real Estate Institutional clients and / or Mortgage Companies (“Agency Lenders”) that are approved to lend on behalf of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD (collectively “GSE’s”) and managing a portfolio of complex credit relationships with Agency Lenders. Structures transactions that includes loan and cash / treasury management products and assists obtaining credit approval. Works with clients to present solutions to short and long term strategic objectives, to build a relationship where MUFG Union Bank is the go to provider of such products. May act as agent in complex multi-bank syndicated transactions.

Major Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Focus on the achievement of new business goals, based on relationships with Agency Lenders.

  • Call on a qualified list of prospects, senior level executives of Agency Finance Lenders and referral sources with calling activity goals set by manager.

  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and maintain relationships with senior executives and advance the sales process with prospects and existing clients.

Financial :

  • Responsible for increasing annual core earnings and fee income by offering bank’s loans and cash / treasury management products including deposits on a portfolio of new short term lending facilities to Agency Lenders, as well as contributing towards the division's annual new business goal with an equal focus on lending and cash / treasury management products.


  • Requires 7-10 years in Commercial Real Estate Banking, with specific experience in short term Agency Finance facilities and / or short term bridge warehouse facilities.

  • Additionally, demonstrates strong knowledge of transaction banking and cash / treasury management products offered by the bank.

  • Results oriented.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills (both internal and external).

  • Strong understanding of credit underwriting and structuring of GSE products including understanding of Agency Lenders needs around transaction banking and or cash management products.

  • Clear understanding of bank, capital markets and GSE products and securitizations and how GSE work.

  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to lead an indirect team and work as part of a team.
