The Audit Vice President, Audit Portfolio Manager - is a role within Wholesale Banking - Internal Audit. It reports to a Director, Senior Audit Portfolio Manager and will independently assess first- and second-line management’s effectiveness in identifying, measuring, monitoring and controlling the risks of the bank.
Budget management responsibilities may be assigned from time to time. Travel is required for the position, with an estimated range of 10-20% varying on the location of the candidate and key staff and stakeholder geographies.

Assign and review the work of audit team members for assigned engagements (in coordination with Audit Director)
Assess the state of the governance, risk management, and control environment
Report results in an effective and timely basis, leading to appropriate remedial action and ongoing management of risk
Maintain compliance with audit methodology, while also operating within industry standard methodologies, applicable regulations, and internal and external professional practice expectations
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related business discipline at an accredited college or university. Advanced degree preferred.
Professional auditing certifications, such as the CIA, CPA, or CFSA, are highly desirable.
10 years or more of meaningful internal audit or risk management experience with strong knowledge of internal audit operations audit execution, practices and methodology
Experience with the financial services industry, related markets, and related regulatory agencies
Extensive experience preferred in auditing Wholesale Banking and/or Credit Risk Management; Sales and Origination, Underwriting, Wholesale Lending, Credit risk management, Collateral valuation and oversight, Ongoing portfolio management including covenant compliance, credit concentration risks, watch-lists, credit risk review, forbearance and restructurings, Loan and trade operations, Fair valuation, Syndication and Securitizations.
Knowledge of Asset based financing, project based finance, structured credit, leasing, structured trade finance, supply chain finance, commodity trade financing, bilateral lending highly preferred!
Familiarity with regulations such as Regulation W, Consumer compliance regulations, Reg YY (EPS) will be advantageous.
Ability to manage (in-charge) and execute the full life cycle of an audit, from planning to audit close
Ability to identify and understand controls in changing environments
Ability to perform risk assessments and analyze risk trends at a macro level, identifying signs of changing risk levels and/or symptoms of process control breakdowns
Possesses strong project management skills. Exhibits initiative and intuitive thinking; and demonstrates ability to meet strict deadlines.
Exhibits effective communication (both verbal and written), negotiation and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with all levels of internal audit and business line management.
Employs strong critical thinking skills to identify pragmatic recommendations within an evolving and increasingly complex regulatory and risk management environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in technology as required for assigned areas (MS Office, audit data analytics, etc.).
Ability to travel may be required.
