  • Design and implement technical security standards covering data protection standards (such as data disposition and encryption) for systems involved in processing sensitive data

  • Manage and maintain data protection technologies to better identify and protect sensitive data

  • Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications to new or existing software in support of data security requirements

  • Participate in and support application security reviews and threat modeling, including code review and dynamic testing.

  • Data lifecyle and protection of data throughout

  • Have significant ownership in and evangelize security around Data Encryption & Protection (DEP)

  • Plan and execute security assessments on systems and applications of varied architecture and scale

  • Support TLoD Audits and SLoD Review and Challenge activities

  • To support the relationship and associated reporting requirements between Technology and internal and external bodies e.g. auditors, management committees, Tokyo head office, regulators (via Compliance), Operational Risk.

  • Support Information Security incidents.

  • Support Operational Security duties where requested.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to influence without authority

  • Works well under pressure within time/budget constraints to solve problems, adjust quickly to shifting priorities, and make decisions with limited information

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, in particular in leading or contributing to global and cross-functional teams

  • Highly motivated to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff

  • Strong understanding of application security vulnerability such as XSS, SQL Injection, Server-Side Request Forgery etc

  • Configuration and maintenance of data protection tools

  • System architecture and technical requirements for deployment of data protection tools

  • Security requirements and standards for systems and applications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience within Data security and Application Security, including encryption, certificate lifecycle management, PKI implementation, WASP top 10, cryptographic key management.

  • Strong understanding of data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption implementation methods, including database, application tokenization, masking, TLS and SSH

  • Familiarity with OWASP top 10 web application security risks and mitigations.
