JOB SUMMARY:

MUFG Americas is searching for a DEI Business Integration Associate responsible for providing support to both the Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Philanthropy and Community Engagement Leader. The role is responsible for providing operational and tactical support related to the MUFG grants management, compliance to bank-wide policies, metrics and reporting of DEI data, enterprise surveys, executive level presentations, and other work as assigned.

The role will preferably be in NYC or Charlotte, NC.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Support:

  • Provide general operational support with the overall goal of delivering operational efficiency and effectiveness, business impact, community impact and enhanced employee experience

  • May provide support to other members of DEI, Culture and Employee Experience Team

  • Serve as primary POC and liaison for Third Party Vendors

  • Provide support for systems and tools of record, e.g., Versaic and Glint

  • Provide program administrative support for Enterprise Resource Groups, Business Unit DEI Councils, employee volunteerism and recognition programs

  • Maintain up to date data on new platforms for tracking philanthropic and community engagement initiatives, corporate contributions, and volunteer time off

  • Risk and Compliance Management:

  • Work with legal and compliance to ensure integration alignment with bank wide policies and procedures

  • Ensure charitable requests are aligned with regulatory agency requirements as well as MUFG policy and procedures

  • Assists in the coordination of any CRA/CSR – related audits and regulatory examinations (as needed)

  • Metrics and Reporting:

  • Data collection, verification and reporting included in comprehensive quarterly and annual reports summarizing the Social Responsibility performance

  • Serve as enterprise liaison and “gate keeper” for DEI dashboard / metrics requests

Build reports for key engagement sentiment/metrics for ECA (as required), HCRC (quarterly) and Executive DEI Council

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should have a strong working knowledge and familiarity with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and social responsibility including:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training plus strong technical experience and skills

  • 5+ years professional experience preferably in Financial Services, report development, project management, data reconciliation, DEI or Social Responsibility

  • Demonstrated passion for DEI, philanthropy, and community engagement

  • Knowledge of survey development, grant making including sponsorships, employee engagement, and volunteer time off

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Enjoys working in a cross-functional, culturally diverse, team-oriented environment

  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple projects while prioritizing the most pressing and impactful matters against strict deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience working with large amounts of data; experience with grant making software tools and/or database management a plus

  • Must possess a high level of technical skills and expertise

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present and socialize well, organize thoughts and clearly articulate points

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work in an independent setting

  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and interest in continuous learning

Technologically savvy; expert in Jive, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) with a good working knowledge of Teams and Virtual Applications
