This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition team will provide more details.
Overall Purpose of Job:
Work on deals teams to source, structure, and execute sophisticated lending transactions with asset managers, sponsors and Fortune 1000 corporate clients in various sectors (e.g. Tech, Media & Telecom, FIG, Healthcare, Retail, etc.). Prepare market research and client specific analysis, and develop marketing materials to pursue deal opportunities. Conduct credit analysis and financial due diligence on new deals. Work closely with the deal lead on transaction execution, manage internal approvals and support deal execution through to closing. Manage portfolio of existing transactions and ongoing deal operations, liaising with other bank teams to maintain and monitor facilities.
Responsibilities:
Support origination of Global Financial Solutions loan transactions with Fortune 1000 clients and asset managers from marketing through to closing
Prepare marketing material, structuring analysis and term sheets
Perform financial and credit analysis and socialize new loan transactions with internal stakeholders, including credit, accounting, legal, operations, and compliance
Support the review of legal documentation and due diligence. Instruct bank teams on the closing and funding of transactions
Work with MDs and Directors and Relationship Managers to develop marketing plans and prioritize targeting effort to meet the team revenue objective
Interact with the client to solve problems and to ensure closing and ongoing performance of transactions
Collaborate with other business units within MUFG to maximize collaboration and cross-sell
Perform market research on structured finance transactions, accounting and/or tax developments, and potential clients
Collaborate with Operations, Middle office, and Credit to manage, maintain and monitor existing portfolio of transactions
Requirements:
An undergraduate degree – required
Advanced degree (MS, MBA, CPA, CFA or JD) – preferred
A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Finance
Experience with financial analysis, reviewing loan agreements & term sheets, and working with Bank products – required
Understanding of tax and regulatory issues – an asset
Understanding of tax and regulatory issues – an asset Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Able to work independently and under pressure
The typical base pay range for this role is between $140K - $165K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
