Job Summary:
The Sr. Applications Manager Director will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications that support the back-office functions of the broker-dealer, including trading operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications that support the back-office functions, including trading operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, including .NET, Java, and Angular/React.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize application development needs.
Manage the deployment and maintenance of applications, including CI/CD pipelines and release management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Provide technical expertise and support for application-related issues and incidents.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts as needed.
Develop and manage budgets for application development and maintenance.
Collaborate with other teams, including operations, risk, and compliance, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Manage the development and maintenance of EDM (Enterprise Data Management) applications, including Security Master and customer account setups.
Oversee the development and implementation of SharePoint solutions, including custom development, workflows, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
Manage the integration and maintenance of Indox, a legal contract document repository.
Ensure seamless integration of applications with other systems, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and compliance systems.
Essential Requirements:
10+ years of experience in application management, with a focus on financial services or broker-dealer industry.
Strong technical background in .NET, Java, and Angular/React.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation.
Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
Experience with EDM (Enterprise Data Management) applications, including Security Master and customer account setups.
Knowledge of SharePoint development, including custom development, workflows, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
Familiarity with Indox, a legal contract document repository.
Desirable Requirements:
Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as Azure.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Familiarity with financial services or broker-dealer industry.
Experience with ICR (Internal Credit Rating) and other relevant applications.
Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and other databases.
Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools, such as Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online, Teams, and Power BI.

Have deep problem-solving skills, employing a logical approach, and diagnosing and troubleshooting using established knowledge and recognized techniques.
Strong ability to collaborate and partner across the firm.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Business/Management, Finance or Technology related fields or Equivalent work experience is equally preferable.
Other Qualifications:
- As per MUFG’s Location & Return to Office Strategy policy, must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely out of our New York, NY (1221 Avenue of the Americas) office.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $193K - $243K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
