MUFG Union Bank Senior Product Manager of Supply Chain Finance in New York, New York


Duties : Supporting the origination of new businesses with clients and structuring client-specific domestic and international Supply Chain Finance solutions. Assisting Senior Originators in deal structuring and implementation of deals in Supply Chain Finance products for both investment grade and non-investment grade/leveraged companies. Analyzing/assessing the deals’ terms and conditions, pricing/returns, driving the request (from start to finish) through various stakeholders that include Relationship Managers, Senior Business Management, Portfolio Management Group, Credit, Compliance, Internal Legal, Middle Office and external stakeholders such as clients, external counsel, insurance brokers, Fin Tech partners, and other Banks. Managing transaction execution process, including liaising with Relationship Managers to confirm that specific risk limits are available, screening opportunities with Credit Departments to ensure there are no material structural issues. Responsible for day-to-day management of portfolio, including reviews/renewals, monitoring performance of the portfolio, covenants, termination events, product guidelines, insurance related monitoring, guarantee management, assisting with onboarding of suppliers, obligors, new buyers, new sellers, structural amendments, waivers, monitoring of recourse elements, repayment history, revenues, usage, supplier concentration, past dues, assurance testing and liaison with audit teams & special projects. Preparing term sheets, management reports, deal screening, presentation and other internal business metrics. Analyzing and researching companies considered to be a target for Supply Chain Finance programs, including performing proficient financial modeling and cash flow projections, and making recommendations to senior risk management & commercial staff. Assisting Senior Originators in negotiating receivable purchase agreements, preparing structuring memos describing the structure of each deal, and driving transactions through the credit process. Collaborating with other banks in an effort to distribute MUFG-agented Supply Chain programs, in line with the goal of growing size and controlling client exposure. Providing an efficient balancing of the growth pursuit and financial performance with disciplined risk management practices.


Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, International Management, Accounting, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience : 7 years of global commercial/wholesale banking or credit analysis experience; and 4 years of experience must include providing Supply Chain Finance solutions (receivable purchase and payable financing) including the structuring and execution of deals for Fortune 1000 companies (negotiating legal agreements and writing credit applications describing the structure of the deal); performing credit and portfolio management of SCF (monitoring and reporting on performance of portfolio); and portfolio monitoring; and 3 years of experience must include supporting origination of new business and responsibility for day-to-day management of a portfolio, including: reviews/renewals, monitoring performance of the portfolio, performance covenants, termination events and compliance with regulatory standards and product guidelines.

Other : Less than 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
