MUFG Union Bank Specialty Services Director in New York, New York
Duties : Applying a structured methodology to assigned business internal consulting project engagements, including Risk, Compliance and Financial Crimes Compliance program initiatives. Delivering cross-functional change management services, interacting with management and key stakeholders across Risk, Compliance and Financial Crimes Compliance. Developing and executing project plans, status reports, and management and committee updates. Reviewing applicable regulatory and/or legal pronouncements and determining an implementation program and approach for internal business consulting projects. Performing gap analysis on existing policies, process and technology capabilities and making recommendations for improvements. Designing new policies and processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Developing Project Initiation Requests, Project Execution Requests, Business Requirements Documents, Resource Plans and other Enterprise Project Life Cycle documents as required. Ensuring a high level of customer’s satisfaction by delivering on engagement artifacts timely and effectively. Conducting the analysis of business problems including making recommendations to management to help identify methods, procedures, and technologies that enhance recommended technical solutions and project execution. Providing feedback on, and generating recommendations for, business process improvement, lessons learned, program enhancements, and strategic alignment with business plans or other programs. Providing thought leadership and analytical rigor to identify operational and compliance issues, developing solutions, and driving decision making and escalation across multiple stakeholders. Managing the reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items. Furthering the strategy and goals of the Specialty Services Team. Supervising 1-3 VPs and Associates on project engagements to monitor and control deliverable quality, develop subject matter expertise, motivate and manage performance.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information System, Computer Science or a related field or foreign equivalent degree (Employer will accept 3-years of university education and 3-years work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree).
Experience : 10 years of experience providing global financial firms including large multinational banks and financial institutions with information technology advisory and consulting services in the broad range of risk and regulatory compliance areas including anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC) and customer due diligence (CDD), sanctions and payment screening, brokerage compliance and surveillance; experience with fraud - employee, card, deposit, payment and mobile; defining and designing business, functional and technical requirements, providing system selection and implementation support and systems development life cycle (SDLC), quality assurance and testing (QA), program/project management and implementation planning (PMO); experience working with at least 1 of the following technology platforms in the financial services compliance or financial crime domains; Nice Actimize, Oracle Mantas or Pega and Data Analytics tools such as SQL; 3 years of experience must include experience in at least two of the following areas: (a) AML transaction monitoring: experience in segmentation, threshold tuning and optimization and model validation (Data and Statistical Analysis); (b) KYC and CDD: experience in supporting development and implementation of KYC and CDD programs, policies and procedures, customer risk scoring model; (c) Experience working with a team of technology advisors through all phases of the SDLC (requirements definition, architecture design, configuration/implementation, and conversion and testing), and researching client inquiries and emerging issues including: regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
Certification : Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) Certification is required.
