  • "Global Corporate & Investment Banking": global relationship with the main French corporate groups of the CAC 40 and SBF 120 stock exchange index

  • "Japanese Corporate Banking": relationship with the subsidiaries of Japanese groups in France.

Our Business Areas

CAD (Credit Analysis Department) is an integral part of GCIB EMEA (Global Corporate Investment Banking) by providing the fundamental credit analysis required to support the approval and execution of transactions as well as ensuring the bank’s balance sheet is suitably protected by risk monitoring and proactive portfolio management.

What To Expect

The position, based in our Paris branch, is part of Credit Analysis Department (CAD). The work is mainly in English.

As part of a team of around 20 people, your main task will be to carry out fundamental analysis of major French groups and their subsidiaries in order to conclude on their credit quality. You will be responsible for establishing annual reviews and credit ratings, and developing your knowledge of corporate banking products:

  • Collection and processing of financial data, calculate financial ratios

  • Preparation of credit memos including bottom-up analysis of consolidated and company accounts, business and financial strategy analysis and sector review

  • Proposition of a bank-specific internal rating to decide on the credit risk

  • Monitoring of the various industries as well as the competitive and regulatory environment

  • Monitoring of significant events specific to companies (publication of results, stock market alerts, profit warnings etc.)

  • Exchanges with the risk teams in London, in the context of specific credit requests (credit lines, guarantees, market lines, etc.).

  • Higher education (Bac+4/5) (Grande Ecole programme, Specialised Master)

  • Fluency in French and an excellent level of operational English

  • Good accounting and financial knowledge

  • Understanding of financial accounts

  • A strong analytical mind and ability to summarise

  • Good writing skills

  • Knowledge of corporate finance

  • A good understanding of procedures and the importance of respecting them

  • A high degree of rigour, reliability and organisation

  • A high level of motivation
